Girls golf places second with season best score

The Lady Badgers hosted their invitational Tuesday, September 24, 2024, and earned second place with their season best team score of 393. West Holt earned first place with 382; O’Neill in third place with 447; and Ainsworth in fourth place with 497.

Badgers bring home a win over Hershey

Friday, September 27, 2024, the Badgers traveled to Hershey where they came home with a win 36-16. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 6, 12, 12, 6 = 36 Hershey - 8, 0, 8, 0 = 16 Hershey was first to score on a four yard run, and good two point conversion.

Lady Badgers host triangular

The Lady Badgers hosted their triangular, Thursday, September 26, 2024, and lost to Stuart Broncos in two sets. Scoring: Valentine - 12, 5 = 0 Stuart - 25, 25 = 2 They also played Sandhills/ Thedford Knights and lost in two sets.

Badgers shut out Centura 40-0

The Valentine Badgers hosted Centura, Friday, September 20, 2024 and won with a score of 40-0. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 6, 20, 0, 14 = 40 Centura - 0, 0, 0, 0 = 0 Trystan Beebout had a nine yard TD pass from Trace Buechle in the first quarter - failed two point conversion.

Boys XC places fifth!

Friday, September 20, 2024, the Cross Country team traveled to O’Neill. Coach Alex Jensen said, “We were pleased to have a placer in five out of six total divisions for the meet in O’Neill. Our placers were Devlin Welch, 14th, Varsity HS boys, Duncan Mosner, seventh, JV HS boys, Paige Sprenger fifth, JV HS girls, Kealy Titus, fifth, MS Girls and Jacob Purdum, 13th, MS boys.

Results from the Gothenburg Invite

The Lady Badgers traveled to Gothenburg, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 and placed sixth out of 12 schools. “By the end of the day the wind was blowing up to 30 mph,” said Coach Devin Muirhead.

Lady Badgers earn first place at North Platte

The Lady Badgers traveled to North Platte Monday, September 16, 2024 and came home with a first place plaque out of six teams. The team shot 431 and also brought home four medals.

Theme for VHS Homecoming

The 2024 Homecoming week is quickly approaching and the Badgers are on the Prowl for Victories! Homecoming week will kick off Saturday, September 28, with painting business windows on Main Street. Sunday, September 29, the Badger Boosters will host their annual powder puff games and pep rally starting at 3:00 p.m., with volleyball games, powder puff football, and a pep rally to follow at the field.

Badger XC team competes at Broken Bow

Saturday, September 14, 2024, the Badger cross country teams traveled to Broken Bow where they competed on the Broken Bow Country Club course.
