Lady Badgers tie for third place

Out of 11 schools, the Lady Badgers tied for third place at the West Holt Invite held Thursday, September 5, 2024. Medaling for the Lady Badgers was Tierney Miller in fourth place with 93; and Rylee Wackler in 11th place, with 109.

2024 Cherry Co. Fair Bucket Calf /Dairy Cattle/Sheep and Goat Show was judged by Danny O’Kief for the Bucket Calf, Steve and Kasey Snell for Dairy, Goats, Sheep.

Badgers place second in Ainsworth Tourney

The Lady Badger golf team traveled to Ainsworth Thursday, August 29, 2024. They had a two hour rain delay at the start of the tournament, and that changed it to a nine hole event.

Results from the inaugural 4-H Beef Carcass Contest results

Cherry County 4-H is growing in many ways in 2024, including the addition of a new competition at the Fair. Youth had the option to have their market beef entries ultrasounded to determine carcass quality, which they could be shared with potential auction buyers. It is also another way for youth to be recognized for the quality of their project. Not all animals that end up in the Champion ring at the regular show end up in the top tier of the carcass contest!

Best of Show Awards by Department: Healthy Livin, Wesley Willert; AG & STEM, Gage Ormesher; Horticulture, Case Larson; Family and Consumer Sciences, William Blackford; Photography, Lillica Jackson. Clover Kids Participation ribbons were awarded to the Clover Kids.

Girls Golf season begins

The girls golf team kicked off the 2024 season with the O’Neill Invite. The team placed fifth with a 437 and Tierney Miller placed 10th individually.

The new school year is full of new opportunities! Help your child navigate the new school year safely by following a few tips: Younger students • Remind young children that markers, crayons, glue, glitter, and other school supplies belong on paper and not in their mouths. Supervise young children while using supplies as they can easily be splashed in the eyes, swallowed, or spilled on the skin.
