The University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Office in Cherry County is excited to announce summer events that are open to all youth, regardless of 4-H enrollment. 4-H is the biggest positive youth development program in the nation, empowering young people ages five through 18 to develop life skills and find their “spark” for hobbies and careers. On Monday, May 9, 2022 nine Valentine High School entrepreneurship students presented their business plans to a panel of community judges at Mid Plains Community College in Valentine. These students were all enrolled in dual credit through MPCC. They have been working throughout the spring semester to develop these plans and prepare for this presentation. Carolyn Petersen Moore of MPCC, Kimberly Johnson of the Sandhills Area Foundation, and Monty Neiffer of Sandhills State Bank graciously agreed to judge these presentations.
