    New manager at Valentine Refuge Complex

    Matt Sprenger is the new Refuge Manager at Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. “In addition to managing Fort Niobrara Refuge, I supervise managers at other refuges in the Sandhills area including; Valentine Refuge, Crescent Lake Refuge and Lacreek Refuge in South Dakota.”

    Huddle named 2021 Hometown Hero

    Cherry Hills Estates and Modern Woodmen of America honored this year’s Hometown Hero, Glen Huddle, at their annual Football Supper and Pep Rally. Glen graduated from Winner, SD High School in 1946.

    VAAC presents Romeo and Juliet

    Shakespeare on Tour’s sixteenth season brings Romeo and Juliet to Valentine! A public performance will be held Sunday, October 17, at 6:00 p.m. at the Valentine High School. Admission is free to the public. Donations will be accepted and are appreciated. A free performance for the Valentine High School students will occur Monday, October 18.
