    Lady Badgers host invite!

    The Lady Badgers hosted their invitational this past weekend where they played against Gordon- Rushville, Hyannis, Hemingford, and Cozad. The Lady Badgers won against Gordon-Rushville 25-18, 25-16; Hyannis 25-15, 25-12; and Hemingford 25-18, 25-19.

    District Champs!!!

    “We going to the ‘ship, what?!” The Lady Badger Golfers brought home the title of District C5 CHAMPS with a team score of a 395. Medalist from the tournament are as follows: Tierney Miller, your individual district CHAMP shot an 86, Joni Cox took third with a 90 (PR) and Rylee Wackler took eighth with a 102. Sam Sprenger and Grace Murphy completed our team of five. Kassie Hanson attended as an alternate.

    District 9 FFA students gather in Valentine for Fall CDE Contest

    The heart of agriculture was on full display as Valentine hosted the District 9 Fall CDE (Career Development Event) Livestock Judging Contest, welcoming more than 350 FFA members from 20 schools across the district. Representing students from grades seven through 12 in Agronomy along with Farm and Agribusiness Management events.

    New art teacher brings creativity, comfort, and community to VHS

    Valentine High School has welcomed a fresh face to the faculty this year — Victoria Schwab, an art teacher and recent graduate of Wayne State College. In her very first yearof teaching, Schwab is already making an impact, not only through her lessons but also by creating a welcoming space where students can find expression, comfort, and community.

    2025 Cherry County 4-H horse show results

    The 2025 4 -H Horse Show was held on Tuesday August 5 at the Cherry County Fairgrounds. Chelsea Sallach was the judge for the day, and Ann Neiffer was her ring steward. The Trail judge was Howard White. Breakaway roping calves were provided by Clete Scheer, and the Working Ranch Horse cattle were provided by the Kenner Ranch. Hope Ramm from Little Bay Mare Photography was the photographer for the day.
