Beau Gavin Westover, 42, of Valentine, passed away Saturday June 12, 2021 at the Cherry County Hospital in Valentine.
Beau was born August 21, 1978, in Lincoln to Rhett and Sherri (Fancher) Westover. He attended Cody-Kilgore Unified School and graduated in 1997. After graduation Beau enrolled in power line construction at Mitchell Technical College in Mitchell, SD.
Beau began working with Nebraska Public Power District in Ogallala, after graduating from Mitchell Tech. He relocated and began a career with Cherry-Todd Electric in Mission, SD, in 2005 where his most recent position held was the Member Service Meter Supervisor.
On November 27, 2005, Beau welcomed his first-born son, Broden Westover.
In Yellowstone National Park on September 6, 2018, Beau and Paige (Bacon) were united in marriage. To this union two children were born, Piper and Brock Westover.
Beau’s hobbies included: riding his motorcycle, playing pool league, hunting, fishing, going camping and four-wheeling with family and friends. Beau loved spending time with his children, teaching Broden mechanics and working on different vehicles. He loved to be outside and built a treehouse playset for Piper and Brock.
Beau is survived by his wife, Paige; children Broden, Piper, and Brock Westover; parents Rhett and Sherri Westover; sister Michelle (Joel) Garber; brother Josh (Kayla) Westover; grandmother Sharron Westover; and numerous other family members and friends.
Beau was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lois Schmit and Frieda Ladley; grandfather Floyd Westover; and aunt Linda Homan.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday June 16 at the United Methodist Church. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was in charge of service arrangements.
