Hastings resident Brian Bernard Nollette, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at his home. Services were held Monday, February 19, 2024, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers and Father Lou Nollette officiating. Burial followed at Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the family to be designated later. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home and Cremation Center is serving the family.

Brian was born June 2, 1960, in Gordon to George Bernard and Gracie Darlene (Davis) Nollette. He was baptized, received first communion, and was confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nenzel. He graduated from Cody-Kilgore High School, May of 1978 in Cody.

Brian grew up on a ranch west of Nenzel with two brothers and three sisters. He grew up with a love of the ranch and everything involved with ranching. His hobbies were hunting and fishing, especially with his kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

He moved to Hastings in June 1978 where he met his wife Betty Duering. They were married August 25, 1979. They were blessed with three children: Amanda, Michael, and Mark. Grandkids were his pride and joy and he tried to make it to as many of their events as he could.

Brian worked for Custom Pack of Hastings for 45 years where he made some lifelong friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Darlene; brother, Ken; sister and brotherin- law, Patricia and David Flodman; mother-in-law, Janice Capps; father-in-law, Harry Duering; and sister-in-law, Nancy Nollette.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Nollette of Hastings; children and spouses, Amanda and Justin Neitzel of North Platte, Michael and Courtney Nollette of Juniata, Mark and Andrea Nollette of Hastings; grandchildren: MaKenzie, Caleb, Luke; siblings and spouse, Les Nollette of North Platte, Bridget Schroeder of Central City, Susan and Kent Brill of Riverdale; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
