Cynthia J. Williams, 83

Cynthia Jane Williams was born July 25, 1940 to Relly and Dorothy (Madison) Williams. She passed away December 19, 2023 at the Rock County Hospital in Bassett.

Jane had three sisters, Jysten, Janis (who’s birthday was nine years to the date Jane was born) and Billie Judy. When Jane was born Janis was so happy and proud that she ran up and down the street saying “I have a brand-new baby sister”, which made them have a special bond. Her bond with Billie Judy was also special, even though at times they would have different views. Jane always knew Billie’s husband had her back.

Jane graduated from high school in Newton, IA. She attended the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing and graduated with a Registered Nurse Degree in 1962. She spent many years in the coronary and ICU field of her nursing career. She worked full time in giving treatments of acupressure, polarity, shiatsu and reflexology. She also was an herb manager and lay therapist. She loved her work and loved to read.

Jane later moved to the Meadville area in the later 80s and continued as a therapist and selling herbs. Nina Marvin came into her life in 1983 and worked for Jane, scheduling appointments, selling herbs and in 1984, Jane sold her herb business to Nina and moved to California. She periodically came back to Ainsworth. In the later 80s she moved back to Ainsworth, again continuing with her herbs and treatments. Area residents loved to come and get a treatment from Jane.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Jysten, and Janis.

She is survived by her special friend Nina Marvin of Ainsworth; sister, Billie Judy Jaber and husband Sam of Alameda, CA; special niece Pat Stalker and husband Rod of Flint, TX, along with other nieces and nephews.
