There were also an abundance of friends and family.

Daisy grew up on the O'Kief Ranch where she attended the Wood Lake School, then on to the Valentine School system. When Daisy went to High School the only class she enjoyed was her Ag class it was animals and her camera. After she graduated, Daisy worked at the donut shop and pizza shop and cleaned houses. She worked running the Wood Lake Cafe for a short time. Daisy worked at Cherry Hills Estate doing different jobs, but found the PC (personal care) to be the one she liked the best. Daisy worked in Cherry Hills and the community for 20 years caring for the elderly.

Daisy enjoyed ranch life, fall calving and spring brandings, but not haying! She always enjoyed visiting with Grandma Sharon O’Kief and with Auntie Rita O'Kief. Jerry always called Daisy Prairie Rose.

Daisy's most prized possession was her horse Pooka, then her saddle and belt buckle that Jimmy Ferguson gave to her. Daisy loved family and friends and to take pictures of them and of the great outdoors. Daisy considered flowers to be among her friends. She loved Christmas and all holidays but Christmas was her favorite of all. When she worked at Cherry Hills they had a party and some special Christmas help was needed and she got it from her mom and sister; the rest is Christmas history. Daisy loved Halloween and loved to dress up and hand out candy, but eat some too. Daisy loved to give her sister surprise gifts. The last one was a motorcycle jacket and a pink helmet with cat ears and gloves to keep her safe and sound like a big sister should.

Daisy will be missed so very much. Please plant flowers and remember her.

Daisy 's family is having a celebration of her life on August 9, 2023 at the Valentine City Park under the pavilion from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Holmes Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements; online guest book can be found at www. HolmesFH.com.
