Dianne Marie Reimers, 68, passed away August 30, 2021 in Augusta, KS. Dianne was born to Calvin and Donna (Daniel) Reimers on September 22, 1952 in Norfolk. She was baptized on October 12, 1952 and confirmed in 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church, Crookston.
Growing up, Dianne attended school at District 45, a one room school house, southwest of Crookston. She later attended and graduated in 1971 from Valentine High School in Valentine. She attended Chadron State College and worked at a bank in Valentine.
Dianne began working for the Forest Service in Chadron. Later moving to Rapid City, SD, where she continued working for the forest service. Dianne also worked for MG Oil in Rapid City. She retired as a civilian from Ellsworth AFB where she processed military personnel transfers.
Dianne was very artistic and crafty. She and her aunt Shirley crafted many items for shows and she even held some of her own. Dianne liked sculpting and painting. One of her prized possessions was a bronze sculpture that she made, called Cowboy. She also loved to cook, especially Christmas cookies and candy. She collected hundreds of recipes.
Dianne was shy, but enjoyed her friends and family, especially her parents, and her family traditions. She held her nieces and nephews in very high regard and enjoyed giving gifts including some of that Christmas candy, even sending it overseas sometimes. In current years she was close to her cousin Cindy, who she would spend hours on the phone with.
Dianne is survived by brothers James (Kim), and Mark (Kristy), nieces and nephews Ryan, Tonya, Colby, Kayla, Chelsea, Keenan, Reece, Brandon, Brenton, Riawna, and Taycee. She is preceded in death by her parents and stillborn niece Macy.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., September 25 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine.
