Donna Schroeder was born in Meadow Grove, NE March 5, 1938, to Raymond and Ella Mae O’Banion. She passed away January 29, 2024, at the age of 85 at the Parkside Manor in Stuart.
She attended school and graduated from Meadow Grove. After graduation she attended a technical school in Minnesota.
Donna married Donald Schroeder October 3, 1959, in Ainsworth.
She kept herself busy with ranching, hunting and she had a passion for fishing. But Donna’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, and brother, Kay O’Banion.
She is survived by her children, Jacqi Witte, Dirk Schroeder, and Scot Schroeder; grandchildren Colton and Brandon Schroder, Julian and Toby Witte, brother Jerry (Linda) O’Banion, sister Barbara Daniel.
The funeral service for Donna Schroeder was held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel in Norfolk. The burial followed at the Lutheran Cemetery in Meadow Grove. A prayer service was held Friday, February 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine.
Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was entrusted with the service arrangements.
