Kenneth W. Foster of Moore passed away from this life on August 16, 2021 at the age of 77. Kenneth was bom in Valentine, to David and Iva Foster (formerly Potter) two days after Christmas, December 27, 1943. Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966, where he was stationed in Europe and worked as an Aircraft Mechanic. Kenneth received an honorable discharge from the Army in 1966.
Mr. Foster was an Investor in the Real Estate business, spending most of his career buying and selling property. Kenneth was a very talented businessman, and highly respected in his community. Before becoming a Real Estate Investor, Ken owned a commercial garbage truck and started his own trash collecting business. He was a somewhat private individual, but he had quite the ornery streak. He had a very quiet, understated type .of humor that could make anyone laugh. Ken - affectionately called “Smokey” and “Rip Cord” by his two closest buddies - was always a prankster. He loved to play jokes on his two lifelong friends, Rich and Bobby. The trio spent a lot of time with each other over the years. Their meetups at Panera for coffee became a daily tradition that all three guys looked forward to each morning. Smokey will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory will live on through them.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother and father, Iva and David Foster.
He is survived by his only child, daughter Sue Ann Hogue; a sister, Ellen Kraning, his brother, Frances Foster and sister- in-law Ann Foster, brother Alden Foster, and brother Wayne Foster; several nieces and nephews, including Clyde Webb, Dean Webb, Faye Walker, Richard Foster, Mike Foster, Troy Foster, Mark Foster, and Jaimi Foster.
The family held a private burial on Saturday, September 24 at Mount Hope Cemetery. Ken was buried next to his parents.
