Nicholas A. Grubham, 42

Nicholas Anthony Grubham, beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and friend, was born on October 9, 1980. Nick left this earth to be with our Lord while surrounded by family on March 1, 2023 at the age of 42. Nick is survived by parents Mike and Mary McCrary of Valentine, siblings Luke (Misty) Grubham of Valentine, Mark (Darby) Grubham of Elkhorn, Anna (Mike) O’Kief of Valentine, Jake (Kelcie) McCrary of Kansas City, MO, grandmother, Ruth Ferris of Valentine, girlfriend, Bethanie Wolverton of Kansas City, MO, along with his nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nick was born and raised in Valentine. He was an avid wrestler throughout high school before earning a scholarship to wrestle at Chadron State College. Nick spent

most of his adult life working as a fitness director. Nick loved to laugh and play games with his family every chance he got. He was a passionate, strong-willed man who lived life to the fullest. His friendliness, easy-going personality and humor left an impression on everyone. He will be greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever and always.

Mass of Christian Burial for Nick Grubham age 42 was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine. Burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine. Rosary and Visitation was held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Mr. Grubham passed away on March 1, 2023 in Rapid City, SD. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine was entrusted with service arrangements.
