Patricia “Pat” (Richardson) Pettigrew 80, passed away at the Cherry County Hospital surrounded by family on July 29, 2021. She was born in Parsons, KS on February 23,1941, to Earl Dewey and Helen Hannah (Ward) Richardson. Pat grew up in Valentine. She married Donald Pettigrew on November 19,1963, in Pierre, SD. Together they raised their family in Valentine.
Pat loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Her fondest memories were always the holidays, when everyone would spend time talking, having fun together, and eating her delicious meals. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching sports, and traveling. Pat enjoyed having coffee and visiting with all her friends. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father Earl and mother Helen.
Survivors include: husband Donald, and sons, Bud and Angela Pettigrew, John and Becky Pettigrew, and Kevin and Colleen Pettigrew all of Valentine. She is also survived by grandchildren: Arthur and Evan, Logan, Aubrey, Candice, and Cody and great-grand child Presslee and several cousins.
Pat requested no services and was cremated at her request.
