Roberta L. Pool, 80

Roberta Lee Pool, 80, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Home in DeSmet, SD. Roberta Lee Morris was born October 12, 1942 in Ainsworth to Everett Jr. and Gladys (Petersen) Morris. She grew up on the family ranch near Wood Lake, where she received her education. She attended Chadron College to seek her teaching degree.

She married in 1965 and from that union her son, Michael, was born. She married Del Pool in 1974, they later divorced.

She taught in the Brandon Valley School District for 28 years until her retirement.

Born and raised in Nebraska made her a lifelong Huskers fan, and if a game was on TV, she rarely missed watching them play.

She was a talented seamstress. Her proudest accomplishments were sewing for the El Riad Shrine making many costumes for the clowns, rickshaws, and other units.

A family graveside service will be held in Wood Lake.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sherry Andrews; sister, Marilyn and her children of Valentine; and her brother, James and his children of Wood Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and several relatives.
