Rod was born on November 29, 1966. He lived in many places throughout his life, including the Philippines, Hawaii, Illinois, North Dakota, before finding his home in Nebraska.
Rod was known as a great pool player, who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and singing his favorite songs on karaoke nights at various venues, but his long-time and recent favorite, Kelsey’s Place. He was the life of the party.
He was also a dedicated worker, serving just over 15 years at Ruby Tuesday in North Platte, NE, beginning shortly after they first opened until October of 2025. He worked as a prep cook, garden bar attendant, and dishwasher, all in which he took great pride in.
Most importantly, he was a good man, son, brother, father, and a good friend, always caring for those dearest to him.
He was loved by all who knew him. He touched many lives, and he will be greatly missed-more than words can express. Rod was preceded in death by his uncle, Ben; cousins, Delores, Dennis, and Tess; and grandchildren, Eli and Iris.
