Roger L. Studeny, age 75, of Hager City, WI passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 23, 2023. Roger was born on April 18,1948 to Henry (Hank) and Doris (Hutchison) Studeny in Valentine. Roger graduated from Valentine High School in 1966. He moved to Red Wing, MN in 1971. On May 17, 1972, Roger was united in marriage to Doris Spracken in Mitchell, SD. They were blessed with three children, John, Sarah and Ivy. For the past 26 years, Roger drove truck for Hager City Express where he received an award for driving six million accident-free miles. Roger was a member of the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing, MN, the Knights of Columbus and the NR A.
Roger is survived by his wife, Doris, children John (Son) Studeny of Bellevue, Sarah (Kyle) Roach of Odessa, TX and Ivy (David) Conrad of Hager City, WI; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Allan Studeny of Rolla, MO, two sisters, Beth (Doug) Newland of Valentine, and Priscilla Aase of Bassett, and local sisters- and brotherin- law Lynda Studeny and Jim L. Luree Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Henry.
Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing, MN with Fr. Brandon Theisen celebrating the Mass. Funeral arrangements by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
