Scott R. Remmers, 53

Scott Ray Remmers was born in Valentine, November 28, 1970, to Kenn Ray and Janice ( Noteboom) Remmers. He passed away doing what he loved, driving a pontoon at Merritt Reservoir, surrounded by family and friends.

Growing up, the family lived in many places across the country. In 1989, he graduated from St. Francis Indian School and then went on to attend and play football at Worthington College. After, he worked many different jobs over the years.

He met Tasha Oliver and they married May 9, 2004 in Kilgore, where they made their home. Together they started TNS Pest Control. The summer of 2006, they adopted their son, Victor; and son Ayden Ray, was born April 27, 2015.

Scott especially loved fishing with his wife, playing cards with his wife and parents, fishing and hunting with family, and recently gardening (even more so, enjoying the tomatoes he grew!). This summer, he enjoyed fishing with his family and was at peace spending time on the water with his wife, sons, and family.

Scott was preceded in death by his son, Johnathan on January 12, 2013; father, Kenn on May 13, 2024; grandparents, Victor and Dorothy (Johnson) Remmers, and Garret and Jennie (Schelhaas) Noteboom; and nephew Grant Remmers.

He is survived by his wife, Tasha of Kilgore; sons, Victor Remmers of Valentine, and Ayden Remmers of Kilgore; mother, Janice Remmers of Valentine; brother, Toby (Diane) Remmers of Kaylor, SD; nephew, Shane Remmers of Glendale, AZ; and many cousins, uncles and aunts.

Services were held Friday, August 2, 2024 at the 4-H Building in Valentine. There will be a private family scattering at a later date. Online guest book is available at www.HolmesFH.com.
