Stanley E. Boyer, 81

Stanley E. Boyer, 81, a native of Mullen, for most of his life, passed away Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023 at Linden Court in North Platte.

He was born on November 7, 1941 to Stanley N. Boyer “Buck” and Kathleen I. (Pearman) Boyer “Kat”. He was preceded in death by his wife (divorced) and mother of his children, Billie (James) Boyer, and special friend, Audrey (Simonson) McPeak, as well as his parents.

Stan is survived by his two daughters April Sitler (Neal) and Omaji Andaria (formerly Andria Schenbeck); three brothers, Woodrow “Dale” Boyer, Ron Boyer, and Doug Boyer; one sister, Nellie (Boyer) McCarty; and Audrey’s family of two daughters, Kathy (McPeak) Leibhart and her son Darren and Alicia (McPeak) Fraley and her son, Nicholas and daughter Danielle.

Stanley served in the Nebraska National Guard for 21+ years as a Medical Corpsman and retired as a Staff Sergeant from Battery B, 1st Battalion, 168th Field Artillery. As a civilian he spent nearly 30 years in the construction industry. In his role as Superintendent of Road Construction, Stan and his crew laid the original Interstate 80 from North Platte, up through Colorado and Cheyenne, WY.

Graveside Service with Military Honors was held Saturday, May 13, 2023 (Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen).
