Timothy G. Daugherty, 67 of Kearney, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 28, 2026 at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 at O’Brien Straat-mann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney.

Timothy was born January 24, 1959 in Gordon, NE to Gale and Phyllis “Holmes” Daugherty. He was raised in Valentine, NE and attended Valentine High School where he enjoyed wrestling.
He was united in marriage to Patti Drake on August 31, 1985 and during this eight year marriage they welcomed their daughter Monica in 1988. He spent decades doing what he loved, being a truck driver and traveling around the country, he never met a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Monica Epp and her husband, Travis of Kearney; grandchildren, Rileigh and Waylon Epp of Kearney, Jaxson and Logan Potter-Snodgrass of Creighton; honorary grandsons, Bronson Wallace and Hudson Stull of Kearney; brothers, Jack (Jan) Daugherty of Hyannis, Chuck (Deb) Daugherty of Lyons, Roger Daugherty of Kearney, Rodney (Betty) Daugherty of Valentine, Darrel (Lisa) Daugherty of Atkinson, Greg (Deb) Daugherty of Crookston, Steve Daugherty of Crookston, Fred (Melissa) Daugherty of Valentine; sisters, Jean (Kenny) Daugherty of Martin, SD, Rhonda Siebert of Bradshaw; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gale and Phyllis Daugherty; daughter, Jackilyn Potter-Buckendahl; brothers, Jack, Kevin, and Keith; sisters, Sandy, Michelle, and Joan.
