William R. Vroman Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 10, 2022. He was born February 26, 1939, in Detroit, MI, and was baptized March 24, 1940 at First Presbyterian Church in Fenton, MI.
Bill will be remembered for many things; his youthful activities with Boy Scouts, Ham Radio, and electronics which brought him to another chapter in his life...
When he met Diane B. (Westphal) Vroman, his best friend, and the love of his life. They began their married life together January 28, 1961, as his U.S. Air Force duties began.
To this union were born five children: Laura Vroman, 10-21-1961; Linda Vroman Parlove, 10-25-1962; William Ray Vroman III, 10-8-1965 - 1-19-21; Lisabeth Morche’, 5-11-1970 (Warren); Leanne Vroman Decker, 12-8-1972.
He leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bill and his bride lived a wonderful life with family and friends. Always willing to lend a hand, host the gathering, or provide the travel van. He was up for adventures including: cruises, exotic locations, and other locales where they learned about American history.
Bill retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 and cared for his wife, Diane, who proceeded him in death, August 19, 2016.
He also was a member of the Masons, Central Michigan Harley Owner’s Group, and most currently enjoyed neighborhood fun-times and freedom on his golf cart - even though he never played a game.
He leaves behind his beloved sister and brother-in-law Jan and Bob Westphal; and his brother and sister-in-law Cork and Chris Vroman, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William R. Vroman and Emily C. (Conard) Vroman.
He was well loved by many generations of family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
