Larry William Hissong, 71, of Ord, passed away August 26, 2023, at CHI Good Samaritan in Kearney, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on January 26, 1952, in Troy, OH, the son of the late Harvey and Virginia (Denison) Hissong. He was one of three children. Larry married Sharon Mulanax in Troy, OH, and to that marriage Travis Lee was born. Larry later married Cynthia Mizner on July 3, 1980, in Ainsworth. To this marriage Jason Scott was born, and he adopted Bobbie Jo, and Chad Allen.

Gary Lynn Gray, 81, of Newcastle, WY, passed away peacefully after a very brief hospital stay at Weston County Health Services in Newcastle. Gary was born June 6, 1942, in Valentine, to parents James and Mabel (Conn) Gray.

Douglas E. Kuhre was born on December 20, 1952 to Loring and Beryl (Edwards) Kuhre at Ainsworth, NE. He married Carol Bussinger on November 10, 1973 at Bassett. To this union four daughters were born: Kara, Katie, Kimberly and Ki.

Virginia Ann “Ginny” (Epp) Brown, passed away, Saturday, July 22, 2023, in Mesa, AZ. Virginia was born March 26, 1937, in Beatrice, to Herman Epp and Opal R (Jackson) Epp, the second child and first of three daughters.

Funeral service for Eldon G. Mundorf, 91, of Norfolk, was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Pastor Lee Weander officiated. Public graveside service was held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Valentine.

Gerry Franklin Graham was born on September 23, 1939 at Ainsworth, to Casey (Frank) and Alice Graham of Springview. Gerry died at home on August 15, 2023 at the age of 83 surrounded by family.

Michelle Leigh McIntosh of Thedford, was born December 10, 1976, in North Platte, to Mark and Marian Nutter and passed away at home on August 10, 2023, at the age of 46 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Billy passed away on July 3, 2023. At the time of his death he was residing in Wyoming. He was born August 13, 1957 in Omaha. Graduated high school in Valentine. He was employed with Hewlitt Packard for several years until he retired in 2020.

Roberta Lee Pool, 80, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Home in DeSmet, SD. Roberta Lee Morris was born October 12, 1942 in Ainsworth to Everett Jr. and Gladys (Petersen) Morris. She grew up on the family ranch near Wood Lake, where she received her education. She attended Chadron College to seek her teaching degree.

Funeral Services for Chad Eugene Lurz will be held August 19, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at the Methodist Church in Ainsworth, with a luncheon to follow. He will be buried at a later time at the Richland Harmony Cemetery in Valentine.
