The JV girls lost by 2 within the last minute of the game, moving their record to 6-1. The Lady Badgers took a hard hit from the Huskies. In 2021, the Lady Badgers won by 1; in 2022, winning by 2, the Badgers skimmed by the Huskies.

The day was brisk, cloudy, and windy, reminding us that many of the service men and women who were laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, served in these very conditions. The National Wreaths Across America program began at 11:00 a.m., to coincide Nationally with other cemeteries who were placing wreaths on servicemen and women’s graves.

The Valentine Badgers hosted their wrestling tournament, Friday and Saturday, December 15-16, 2023. There were 16 boys teams and Cozad took first place honors. Valentine placed fourth. On December 12, the Badgers hit the road to take on their rivals, the Ainsworth Bulldogs. The Lady Dawgs took a 12-9 lead in the first quarter. By halftime, it was a 4-point game, 20-16. The Lady Badgers put up a fight, but the Bulldogs pulled away, scoring 26-15 in the second half winning the game with a score of 46-31.
