Cody-Kilgore welcomed the Sioux County Warriors to town Thursday, November 30, 2023 for their first game of the 23-24 season. Cowgirls lost to the Warriors 52-67, while the Cowboys were victorious with a final score of 48-30.

Rebekkah Cash is no stranger when it comes to working with senior citizens. In the past, she worked at Pine View as a CNA before it closed. In her current position, she is working with senior citizens in a much different capacity at the Valentine Senior Center. She has replaced Ellen Froning, who was the director for 20+ years. “She knows everything about this business, inside and out,” Cash said. “She was just so good at it. She has everything memorized and she did her best and wrote tons of notes for me.”

There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to rise! Valentine Police Officer Jasmine Hoefs has returned to duty following an on-duty accident that occurred in December 2022. The accident resulted in critical injuries requiring a lengthy recovery period.

For 44 years, the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) has celebrated over 2,500 of Nebraska’s most caring and devoted health care employees by presenting them with The Caring Kind Award. NHA member hospitals, such as Cherry County Hospital, select recipients from within their organization to be acknowledged at The Caring Kind Awards Luncheon during the NHA Annual Convention.
