    VHS students explore their senses in a new way on the Niobrara River

    Valentine High School students experienced the Niobrara River in anewway;asanoutdoorclassroom during the Write the River: Creative Writing and Art Float. Nebraska WritingProjectEnglishprofessionals andNationalParkServicerangers from Niobrara National Scenic River introduced the students to different resources and different writing styles.

    Light at the end of the tunnel!

    As many of you have seen, IES Incorporated has begun standing lighting units up. The next chapter of lighting has started, and the City of Valentine has been greatly excited to showcase these beautiful light pedestals. These units were specially constructed with LED lights that do not produce light pollution for the surrounding area, but shine bright on our street.

    Valentine Cross Country ran at the O’Neill Invitational, Friday, September 16, 2022. Fifteen teams competed at this meet.

    Badgers fight against an athletic Chadron team

    Coach Ian Bish said, “Chadron was an extremely athletic team that got loose against us a few times. They were able to jump out to a big lead early but our guys fought back and made it a ball game in the fourth quarter. We are extremely proud of our guys’ effort and fight on Friday night and we're looking forward to battling a tough O'Neill team.”

    Cowgirls fall to Ainsworth and Gordon-Rushville in Triangular

    The Cody-Kilgore Cowgirls Volleyball Team traveled to Ainsworth on September 15, 2022, for a Triangular with Ainsworth and Gordon-Rushville. The Cowgirls fell in two sets to Gordon-Rushville Lady Mustangs, 25-11 and 25-18. The Cowgirls then played Ainsworth and fell in two sets to the Lady Bulldogs, 25-18 and 25-10.
