Celebrating our veterans on Veterans Day!

Cody-Kilgore Unified Schools held a Veterans Day program, Monday, November 11, 2024, at the high school. Legion Post Commander Jerry Fullerton said the program began at noon with a lunch at the school for the veterans and their spouses.

Pink Out awareness at Cherry Hills

Cherry Hills Estates celebrated breast cancer awareness during October, with everyone dressed in pink. “We are blessed to have several breast cancer, and other cancer survivors that live at Cherry Hills!”

2024 4-H Achievement Celebration

The 2024 4-H year wrapped up October 13 with the annual Achievement Celebration at the Cherry CountyFairgrounds.Afterenjoying someyardgamesandapotluckmeal with over 100 people in attendance, special awards were presented and top achievements for the year were highlighted.

VCS trio to sing for NSAA

Congratulations goes out to Jocelyn Jordan, Rylie Sexson, and Marybelle Ward for being chosen by the Nebraska Schools Activities Association to sing the National Anthem at a state sporting event. They were selected from a group of over 285 candidates to sing for the NSAA.

Bitner awarded Caring Kind award

Friday, October 18, 2024 Chris Bitner of Cherry County Hospital and Clinic was honored with the Caring Kind award at the NHA Conference in La Vista. Chris began her career at Cherry County Hospital in 1978.
