Joseph Leonard Beel was born on April 13, 1970, to Thomas and Judy (Mansour) Beel in Valentine, NE.
He attended school in Mission, SD and White River, SD. Joseph enlisted in the United States Navy on September 28, 1989, and was honorably discharged from the Navy on September 23, 1992. He later attended Mid Plains Community College. After college he took a job as a highway maintenance worker with the state of South Dakota.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons, Kase and Mason.
Joseph passed away June 21, 2025, at his home in White River, SD.
He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Judy, and brother Anthony Valandra.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Kase Owen and Mason Lee Beel; ex-wife Nicole Beel; brother Brent Valandra; sister Teresa and husband Emanuel Curry and their sons Emanuel and Joshua; stepparents Terry and Michelle Leach; and sister Chelsey Leach.
A graveside service will be held, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine, NE. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines is in charge of funeral arrangements.
