Tom Billeter passed away on April 5 2021, two weeks after being diagnosed with lymphoma. He was 81 years young.

Chad L. Osburn, 60

Chad Lynn Osburn, 60, of Cairo died Friday, April 30, 2021 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Funeral services were held Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Cairo United Methodist Church with Rev. Cat Love officiating. Burial was at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cairo.

Georgia J. Spain, 81

Georgia Jean Kolessa was born in Valentine January 13, 1940 to Johnny and Eleanor (Hartman) Kolessa. She passed away in North Platte April 30, 2021 at the age of 81 years.

Dorothy M. Paxton, 77

Dorothy Marie Paxton was born November 4, 1943 in Valentine, to Charles Albert and Jeannette (Phipps) Paxton. She attended Valentine Public School. Dort worked as a cashier for Walmart for many years and after moving back worked various jobs in the community.

James Mousel

James Mousel left for heaven on April 21, 2021, at Kearney. He was the husband of Nikki Mousel.

Dr. Harry R. Tolly, 83

Dr. Harry Roscoe Tolly, of Lincoln, passed away on April 22, 2021 at the age of 83. Born in Humboldt on December 4, 1937 to Rose (Neiswanger) and Roscoe Tolly, a math teacher, principal, and football coach. The family lived in Falls City and Ord, before settling in North Platte, where Harry graduated a Bulldog from North Platte High School in 1955.

Hastings resident Dorothy R. (Loncar) VanBuskirk, 95, passed from this life on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at her home, The Kensington, Hastings.

Stanley Johnson, 86

Stanley Johnson, 86 of Valentine passed away on April 8, 2021. Stanley was born on May 29, 1935 in Sparks to the late Hans and Mildred (Smith) Johnson he was the oldest of four children.

Martha Frew, 98

Martha Frew, 98 of Ainsworth, passed away January 26, 2021 at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth. Martha was born on October 24, 1922 to George and Elizabeth Morlang, north of Norden where she was raised and lived most of her life. She spent the last six years of her life in Ainsworth. She was married to Darol Frew on April 17, 1949 in Ainsworth. Three Children were born to this marriage; Bill, Jerry and Rosalie.

Charity J. DeLawyer, 32

Charity Jean Miles DeLawyer was born February 1, 1989 during a snow storm at Cherry County Hospital in Valentine to her delighted parents Craig and Joy (McCrory) Miles. She was raised on the Miles family ranch near Brownlee. Here she learned to love the outdoors, ranch life and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From an early age Charity had a strong faith and a strong will. That strong will would help her stand firm in her faith all her life even when it wasn’t popular.
