The Lady Badger girls golf team placed fourth out of their nine Southwest Conference schools with 431. They played at Awarii Dunes in Axtell.

The Badger Cross Country team traveled to Kearney, Monday, September 25, 2023. Individual women’s results in the 5,000 Meter Class D are as follows: 49th place, Christen Larson, 24:17.70; 115th place, Paige Sprenger, 27:10.40; 142nd place, Lexi Long, 29:04.00; 160th place, Samantha Sprenger, 30:20.12.

It’s that time of year again and Fire Prevention Week will be recognized October 8-14. The theme for this year will focus on kitchen safety, but as always fire safety should be acknowledged throughout the entire home. The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department would like to remind everyone to change smoke detector batteries twice a year and if you have older detectors, they should be updated. Please discuss with your family your fire escape plan and a family meeting place in the event of a fire.

He’s back and still coaching only this time Mr. Mark Hagge will be coaching the town. As the new Economic Development Director, Mark will be working to help better the City of Valentine, and thus the entire community.
