Valentine Senior Legion team comes away with two wins at Pierce

The Valentine Senior Legion team traveled to Pierce the weekend of June 18 for a three game tournament. They played in 105 degree heat along with 50 mph winds.

Cherry County Tourism 2021 Passport winner

Congratulations Brian Bopp, 2021 Cherry County Passport Winner! Brian Bopp won a $1,000 Cherry County vacation package! He and his family completed all 37 stops on the inaugural Cherry County Passport program that was inside last year’s Explore Valentine magazine. He was able to choose a vacation package of his choice, and is going on a golf outing at the Prairie Club with a few friends! Gallino sworn in to state VFW position

Jim Edwards, Commander of the Valentine VFW Post 5239 and Vince Lopez, Commander of the Nebraska VFW District 11 attended the annual Nebraska Department of VFW convention in Kearney, June 11-12, 2022, where they observed the nomination, election, and swearing in of Rex Gallino to the Nebraska Department of Surgeon position, one of five judiciary positions governing the State VFW programs.
