Signs are in place for the road closure on Highway N-12, three miles east of the Valentine City Limits. The road closure is from Labor Day 2024 through Memorial Day 2025, September 3, 2024 – May 23, 2025.

The girls golf team kicked off the 2024 season with the O’Neill Invite. The team placed fifth with a 437 and Tierney Miller placed 10th individually.

It’s going to be the last summer event for the Valentine Chamber of Commerce on September 7 with the seventh annual Chaduza Cook-off. What will you be doing? Head down at the Valentine City Park to register to play in the Cornhole Tournament at 10:00 a.m. Then enjoying freewill donation burgers at 11:00 a.m. The funds raised from lunch burgers will go toward park improvements. The Chamber is hoping to raise enough funds for a new play structure that will be safe for the youth to play on.

Valentine Community Schools was recently recognized by the Nebraska Department of Education School Safety and Security in the “Place School Safety First” campaign. This campaign identifies Nebraska schools that are meeting the highest standards of safety and security.
