    More than 500 acres burned

September was the third driest on record, according to NOAA Weather, with a total of .09 inches of rain, 1.63 inches below normal. There were 14 days of over 90 degrees which is nine days above normal. On top of that, there were the winds...and the windiest was 55 mph September 12. What does this have to do with the fire Thursday, October 3? There wasn’t any more moisture in October, and everything is just plain dried out.
